Fairlight is in the Northern Beaches Council area, about 30 minutes from our base in Elanora Heights. Fairlight runs down to the harbour between Manly and Balgowlah, so most homes face the water and sit on a slope.
This close to the harbour the outside glass grows a salt film within weeks. A pure-water wash every few months stops it hardening into a haze that needs restoring.
Downhill windows can sit high above the ground on sloping blocks. The pole reaches most of them from a safe footing, with no ladders on steep garden beds.
For apartment buildings we clean what can be reached from the ground and common walkways, and balconies through the residents.
